Just For Laughs Montreal 2010 Line-up - Big Names

The 2010 Just For Laughs Montreal International Comedy Festival is a marked improvement over the last two or three years. The names include Steve Martin, Christopher Titus, John Pinette, Mike Birbiglia, Harlan Williams, Aziz Anzari. Aside from Martin, these stand-up comics are not going to be at Just For Laughs just for a Gala. Comics announced for the Just For Laughs Gala include Brad Garrett, Tom Papa, Lewis Black, Cheech and Chong. Plastic surgeons will be attending the Pamela Anderson hosted Gala. Hope the spotlights aren't too strong, wouldn't want anything to melt and sag.

This summer, Just For Laughs will feature Steve Martin who will host two special shows Saturday July 17th at 7 and 10. There are few details about the show but it is called the Best Night Ever Show.

John Pinette is in town July 13th to 17th at Place des Arts. Shows keep selling out but Just For Laughs adds a show now and then so check out  hahaha.com for updates.

The must go to show for me is Christopher Titus at the Centaur Theatre July 13th to 17th at 7. The show is titled Christopher Titus Neverlution and should be the kind of smart, wickledly funny, personal stand-up comedy Titus is known for.

John Leguizamo will be doing a one-man show titled Klass Klown at the Gesu July 12th to 17th at 7. It could get interesting as 7 o'clock crowd are definitely more middle of the road than Leguizamo

Mike Birbiglia will follow Leguizamo at the Gezu at 9:30 July 15th to 17th. I would not wait too long to get Birbiglia tickets.

Comedy workhorse Dom Irrera has a one-man show, Plugged Unplugged Plugged Again July 15th to 17th at 9:30 at the Centaur. I've never seen Irrera do a bad set so a full show is a good bet.

Harland Williams will be in town for one night (so far) at Cabaret Juste Pour Rire July 13th at 9. Tickets are a reasonable 30 dollars.

Jim Norton and Greg Giraldo will be handling the Nasty Show. That should certainly be interesting. Sensitive souls abstain.
