Roasting David Hasselhoff is a good idea. I would have preferred it if the star of Baywatch and Knight Rider was roasted because he was trapped in Kitt and the car caught fire or some kid buried him in sand up to his head. That is not what the Comedy Central Roast of David Hasselhoff does but it is almost as entertaining.
Roasters include the usual Comedy Central Roast line-up of Greg Giraldo, Lisa Lampanelli, Jeffrey Ross, and the always funny and nasty Gilbert Gottfried. Other guests include Pamela Anderson, Whitney Cummings, can't believe he is still alive George Hamilton for some reason, and aren t you way past your fifteen minutes Hulk Hogan.
The Comedy Central Roast of David Hasselhoff is hosted by Seth McFarlane who is a much better MC that what you usually get for these things.
The best moments feature Lisa Lampanelli, the only thing on the show fatter than Hasselhoff s head, and Gilbert Gottfried who is as vicious and foul as ever.
The other roasters on the show are like a Baywatch episode: generic and eminently forgettable. Hulk Hogan, who looks as manly as Richard Simmons, proves professional wrestling is not fake just by his lack of acting talent.
Pamela Anderson s performance goes tits up but that should not surprise anyone.
Special features on The Comedy Central Roast of David Hasselhoff DVD are Behind the Scenes; Red Carpet Interviews; The Hoff s Post-Roast Reaction, and Roasters Wrap-up.
