Boy-Next-Door features the only stunt goldfish to ever appear in a movie. It is a good thing this is a comedy short because the fish probably would not have survived another take. I am not a big fan of the short but this is one very funny perfectly timed entertaining short film.
We were lucky enough to get a copy of this short film from the director himself and this is definitely going to be one of those Dvds you want to show your friends. The problem with this short film is that telling you about it will definitely spoil at least one funny moment and that would be a crying shame.
The setup is Calvin (played by Davis) is a thirty-something single guy looking for a match on the Internet who gets dumped by everybody. Even his goldfish wants to leave him so bad that it has become suicidal. Richard Moll of Night Court fame plays Calvin's new neighbor but telling you more about that character would spoil the fun.
This is one very humorous short film. Even the credits are funny and include a few sight gags. Highly recommended.
