The Burning Bridges Tour the first stand-up comedy CD by Maria Bamford is far superior to her second, How To Win. Here, this Tomlin’s Edith-Anne voice comedienne is not using her different voices as a crutch.
The material on this disc is much more focused and organized. Bamford’s timing is dead on, and the use of her different character voices more appropriate. The latter often felt forced on How To Win.
Overall, the clear impression is the material on this CD is what a comedy fan expects from Maria Bamford.
