Comedy Network - Fall 2011

With fall rises a new TV season (get it?). The Comedy Network has quite a few promising new shows and a couple of must see specials.

Labor day weekend The Comedy Network is running a Big Bang Theory Season 3 Marathonstarting Sept 4th at 3:30

The first must see comedy special is The Roast of Charlie Sheen Monday September 19th at 10 P.M. I am looking forward to seeing how you roast a burn out.

Another absolute must has to be the Jeff Dunham Controlled Chaos special in October. Dunham is a matter of taste and sometimes racist but the fact he is going to introduce two new characters makes this new Jeff Dunham special something to look out for.

Richard Pryor - Live on the Sunset Strip airs Saturday Sept 3rd at 10 P.M.

Just For Laughs will combine music and comedy in Amp’d, a show hosted by Weird Al himself on October 29th at 10 P.M.  It will also have A Tribute to Nerds hosted by Simon Helberg and Kunal Nayyar of The Big Bang Theory. The show will air November 5th at 10 pm

New situation comedies on The Comedy Network include:

Picnicface, a sketch comedy show premieres September 21st at 10:30

Something called Cocktales which the network calls “a weekly panel of guy’s guys” will begin September 23rd at 10 P.M. Sight unseen I am betting sophomoric humour aimed at the male teen in college.

Another new show is Up All Night Monday Sept. 19 at 9 P.M.: A couple has their first child and realizes they too are going to grow up.

Free Agents sounds just plain weird: A hungover Alex wakes up in bed with co-worker Helen who is obsessed with her dead fiancée. Maybe her last name is Muir? You’ll find out Sept. 20th at 10.

Aside from a summary of the pilot episode, the Comedy Network does not say much about Whitney, September 28th at 9.

Returning sitcoms include:

Tosh.0 Tuesday September 20th at 10 P.M.

Workaholics Sept. 20th at 10:30

South Park season 15 part 2 returns October 5th at 10.
