In Vegas slots you get three What Happens In Vegas DVDs instead of lemons.. The problems include Ashton Kutcher, Cameron Diaz being badly directed, a hard to believe story about characters who are very, very hard to like, especially awful actors playing the characters’ best friend, and everything else including Dennis Miller’s Grecian Formula hair.
Cameron Diaz and Demi Moore’s arm candy (of name any godawful movie fame) play two people who suffer a setback and go to Las Vegas with a best friend. From the let’s notĀ bother thinking about a credible reason excuse to get the characters together school of comedy writing everybody is booked in the same room.
The Diaz and Moore’s husband characters party and wake up married, decide to get a quickie divorce, and then win 3 million dollars. Because of an even less plausible bit of writing they are forced to live together as man and wife for 6 months if they hope to collect the money.
What Happens In Vegas is supposed to be a romantic comedy. It most certainly is neither. The movie could have perhaps been better by a split atom if the best friend characters had been mildly interesting but only Rob Corddry could unshine Kutcher and Lake Bell sinks like one. To add to the viewer’s misery Zack Galiafanakis (or whatever) is in a few scenes.
This comedy does have one funny scene where Joy and Jack race to their appointment with theĀ marriage counselor (Queen Latifah).
If you can’t figure out how What Happens In Vegas ends your IQ is less than Kutcher’s talent.
Special features on What Happens in Vegas Jackpot Edition include the usual commentary track, a sit down with Moore’s husband and Cameron Diaz, a bit from the law firm of Jack’s friend and lawyer, for the especially masochistic more Zack Galifianakis, a gag reel, and a digital copy. A total of 2 hours of extra features.
