Meg Griffin, Stewie Griffin
1 DVD 1 Episode
Fox Home Entertainment 2010
Partial Terms of Endearment is the Family Guy episode that never aired. Not to reveal any plot points let’s just say this is the episode that refers to abortion. That said, if you think about it a bit and remember the episode will not appear on TV…. This Family Guy DVD contains only that episode. It also contains about an hour of pretty decent extra features including A live reading of the Partial Terms of Endearment episode, the animatic (black and white sketches) for the episode, Seth and Alex’s Almost Live Comedy Show. There are also 9 downloadable Family Guy Songs.
This is an excellent Family Guy episode. It is worth getting if only for the brilliant salute to Wile E. Coyote vs. Roadrunner cartoons. You’ll never guess what Peter uses for seed.
The extra feature Seth and Alex’s Almost Live Comedy Show is very funny. McFarlane and Borstein (voices Lois) do a few imitations, show a clip from the show, and present various other skits. One is screen test for actors who did not get the part. Kermit the Frog in Philadelphia is the best of that comedy bit. Alex Borstein also does Marlee Matlin singing Poker Face. A good bit but the payoff isn’t quite as good. The Almost Live Comedy Show also includes pilots episodes that never aired on FOX.
Of course Family Guy Partial Terms of Endearment includes a commentary track.
To get or not this DVD? Depends how big a Family Guy fan you are. It also makes for a great stocking stuffer.
