Fresh Brewed Eddie is the 2012 Stand Up! Records re-release of Eddie Gosling’s 2006 stand-up comedy album.
Fresh Brewed Eddie is a solid addition to the label’s historically excellent selection. Although available as both a comedy mp3 album and CD, the CD is the better choice as it also includes a bonus DVD Eddie Gosling Big in Texas.
Although I am not partial to Eddie Gosling’s habit of ending many sentences with a question? and he does have a somewhat irritating voice? –He says so himself on a very good books on CD bit? Eddie Gosling is a very enjoyable comic. Though he does a lot of short bits, his relatively longer routines are what stand out the most.
A personal favorite is Catholic Church where newcomer Eddie has to learn the rules. Rule number 1: you don’t bless a priest. Also quite good is the math / NASA bit where a few listenings allow you to see how thought out the writing is.
