If you spend a good part of your set bitching because the audience isn’t laughing it is probably not a good idea to release the recording of that set as a stand-up comedy album.
This is the case for So Far So Good by comic Joe List. It really does not help that List bitches about the audience twice in the first minute of this stand-up comedy CD and twice more in the next.
In fact, pointing out that nobody is laughing only affirms the listener s impression that this is banal stuff.
After a while, you get the impression Joe List has only one routine: pointing out the audience is not laughing.
