The Curse Of The Were-Rabbit, the latest, and first full-length, claymation movie of the adventures of Wallace and Gromit is a joy for the entire family. The kids will enjoy the simple, easy to understand and follow story while their parents will also enjoy the many in jokes and comical references (look for a brief appearance by South Park’s Kenny, for example) that make this fun movie a joy to watch again and again. Of course, the animation by Aardman Animation is simply superb while the various Rube Goldberg contraptions cheese lover Wallace has invented to make his life easier.

Wallace and Gromit are the owners and operators of the Anti-Pesto (get it?) pet removal company and the entire town depends on their services to keep bunnies and other pests away from their prize crop. The alarm system Anti-Pesto uses to detect animal intruders is second only to the methods they use to humanely catch the pilfering bunnies. Unfortunately, Wallace, in a quest to deter rabbits from going after his friends’ crops invents one gizmo too many in an attempt to brainwash the rabbits into docile creatures. Soon after that, a giant rabbit starts destroying the prize gardens and this sends the town in a tizzy as the great vegetable contest is a couple of days away.

Throw in a love interest for Wallace in Lady Tottington (voiced by Helena Bonham Carter) a rival in hunter Victor Quartermaine, and Gromit has a lot to do to keep his master out of trouble. The Curse Of The Were-Rabbit is simply great fun. The dogfight between Gromit and Quartermaine’s dog is superb, inventive, and hilarious, as is the entire movie
