Season 7 of Two and a Half Men opens with Charlie engaged to Chelsea and Allan dating Melissa. Even Jake has a girl in his life: his baby sister. Charlie being Charlie you know getting engaged is going to cause a few problems. Two and a Half Men The Complete Seventh season shows this situation comedy still has it most of the time. It does come dangerously close to jumping the shark with Allan’s puppet.. Season 7 features 22 episodes on 3 DVD.

The estrogen level is way up in Season 7 and that takes some of the fun away from this situation comedy There is also the fact the writers do not know what to do with Jake aside from making him a sullen teenager. He does get a few moments but they are few and far between.

Two and a Half Men The Complete Seventh Season has more hits than misses episode wise. Give Me Your Thumb (DVD 1) is especially good with Charlie facing breast reduction and Allan his mother. Gorp, Fnark, Schmegle is also a lot of fun with the interior monologue bit.

There is a major story development two thirds into this situation comedy’s seventh season (DVD 2). It is not exactly handled very well in terms of writing or acting. In fact the whole Chelsea and Charlie feels like the show is looking for a story development that works.

Jane Lynch, Sue Sylvester of Glee, plays Charlie’s shrink in the first episode. Eddie Van Halen also shows up in the first episode. Stacy Keach and John Amos have a cameo as Chelsea’s dad and stepdad.

Special features on this sitcom DVD set are a Gag Reel and A Charlie Harper Ex Reunion.
