Although season 6 of The Big Bang Theory is generally solid and features some memorable episodes such as The Parking Spot Escalation, most agree that this is when the show jumped the shark. There is disagreement however as to whether it is the Wolowitz in space segments or when Raj got a beyond weird girlfriend named Lucy (Kate Micucci). Season 6 of this situation comedy has 24 episodes on 3 DVD or 2 Blu-ray discs.
Favorites for season 6 are The Holographic Excitation where Leonard shows Penny what he does using a really cool hologram, The Bakersfield Expedition where the guys wear STTNG costumes for a ComicCon and get stranded in the desert while the girls argue about Thor’s hammer, and The Fish Guts Displacement where Sheldon takes care of Amy when she gets a suspiciously lengthy bout of the flu.
This Big Bang Theory season also includes The Proton Resurgence with guest star Bob Neewhart who finally got a richly deserved Emmy. There is also the rather serious The Closet Reconfiguration where Howard finds a letter his father sent him years ago.
Special features include astronauts Buzz Aldrin and Mike Massimino on Wolowitz’ space adventures; Houston, We Have A Sit-com; The Best Relationship Moments; PaleyFest 2013; and a gag reel.
